The Cirtech manufacturing plant comprises the latest and best equipment available.
The entire manufacturing operation is contained on site. No part of the process is sub-contracted, from the generation of the photo tools to the final electrical testing and packing of the finished product in hermetically sealed units.
Total ownership of the process ensures 100% perfection.
The plant is contained in a dust-free, temperature controlled environment and a dedicated cool room is used to store temperature sensitive raw materials.
To ensure that the plant would realise its maximum potential, chemical engineers with international experience were brought in to oversee the commissioning and day to day running of the highly sophisticated equipment, some of which was new to South African shores.
Quality control is central to the success of the Cirtech plant.
Before any product goes onto the line, a Design Rule Check is performed. This ensures that the PCBs to be manufactured are within manufacturing tolerances.
During the process, inner layer inspection is carried out by Automatic Optical Inspection and all product is electrically tested before dispatch.
The full automation of the plant is designed to eliminate human intervention in the manufacturing process where ever possible.
The backbone of the operation is the overhead gantry which houses the fully computerised loading and off loading apparatus.
This system ensures that the manufacturing process is entirely machine based through its most sensitive wet stages. Not having human intervention during the dipping, curing and drying stages means that there is no chance of contamination or corruption.
Another crucial benefit that computerised automation brings is the unerringly accurate timing of the various processes that the PCBs undergo. There is no guess work involved in how long the boards spend in each chemical tank. This is now timed to the second, every time. There is also no chance of a set of boards being forgotten in a tank, or over exposed to any particular chemical process and the operating temperatures of the tanks are closely and accurately monitored.
All this means that the PCBs manufactured by Cirtech are of a consistently high quality and operate faultlessly within their defined parameters. In turn, our clients have absolute peace of mind when they include our boards in their final product.
The integrity of the chemical processes that take place in the tanks is ensured by the in house laboratory. The contents of the tanks are tested frequently to ensure that they remain well within spec.
The proprietary chemical system used in the plant the Shadow process, based on OMG Chemistry it is specifically designed for through-hole processes.
The use of OMG Chemistry throughout the plant ensures 100% compatibility with the core processes of pattern plating, through-hole plating and Immersion Nickel Gold plating.
Cirtech offers various finishes on the PCBs we manufacture. These include Immersion Nickel Gold, Hot Air Solder Level , Organic Surface Preparation, Immersion Silver and Conductive Carbon.
